Parker Leppien: Sports Broadcaster
Parker Leppien: Sports Broadcaster
I’m currently a graduate assistant for the Mizzou Network and working on my MBA in marketing. As a graduate assistant I’m in charge of the online streams of our olympic sports, shoot/edit promotional videos and interviews as well as play-by-play work.
Before working at the Mizzou Network, I worked four years in radio and two years in local TV. As a play-by-play broadcaster I spent two seasons as the lead broadcaster for the Alaska Fire of the Alaska Baseball League. Outside of baseball, I’ve broadcast University of Missouri football, men’s basketball, women’s volleyball and softball for KCOU 88.1 FM in Columbia.
I’ve known since I was 10 that I wanted to be a play-by-play broadcaster for a Major League Baseball team and have worked toward that goal ever since. I have a Bachelor of Journalism degree from the Missouri School of Journalism with an emphasis in Radio/TV.
